Busy, Busy, Busy!

October is going to be a busy (but fun!) month for us! Friday is our 5th wedding anniversary! We are having our friend Erin come to keep Kaylin while we go out to dinner and a surprise. (Billy doesn't know what it is yet!) This will be our first date without Kaylin in tow! I'm sure it'll be weird, but we know Kaylin will be in good hands.

We have lots of visitors coming this month - Kelly, Grandma & Great-Grandma, and Uncle Sean, who Kaylin will meet for the first time. We are also taking a couple days off work to road-trip to New Orleans for our friend Nick's wedding. We can't wait to walk around the French Quarter and eat some beignets at Cafe Du Monde. We'll also get to see my friend Jeremy and (hopefully!) one or both of his adorable boys.

Kaylin will also have her first Halloween. I love Halloween and can't wait to dress my sweet girl up as a ... well, you'll just have to wait and see! :) I'm looking forward to Kaylin's first Fall. Fall is my favorite time of year - I love the cool air and changing leaves. So, if I miss an update or two, you'll know we're soaking up family and friends or playing outside.

7 Months Old!

Kaylin is seven months old today! She has been so much fun this month - her little personality is really coming out. She is such a happy girl... unless her mouth is bothering her. She hasn't had any teeth pop through yet, but I think it'll be soon. She's doing a pretty good job eating. She loves vegetables (I think she'd change her name to Sweet Potatoes if she could!) but hates fruits. I had to mix sweet potatoes in applesauce so she'd eat it the other day. I'm shocked she doesn't like bananas. I thought all babies liked bananas. Nope - she'd rather have carrots or sweet peas.

She's getting more hair and it's still red like her Mommy's. Her eyes are still blue, but now they're more of a blue-gray - not the bright blue they were. She's up to 15 pounds, 7 ounces.

I know this because we were in her pediatrician's office on Monday. She had a cold last week and even though she's over it, she kept pulling on her ears - especially the left one. I was worried that she'd developed an ear infection, but they said she's just teething.

I could go on and on about every cute, funny or sweet thing Kaylin does, ("talking" to Copa, splashing in the bathtub, holding on to the sides of her carseat with both hands, rubbing my side while she's nursing) but she needs to eat dinner, bottles need to get washed and I really need to work on my lesson plan for next week. The truth is, everything she does is amazing to me and I'm so thankful to have such a blessing in my life.

I love you, angel baby.
